Cabong Elementary School History

Cabong Elementary School started as Cabong Barrio School in the year 1940-1941 in a small house which later transferred in other houses spacious enough to hold classes due to its growing population until such time on February 1956 acquired a lot through the donors Mr. & Mrs. Basilio Cajegas (wife: Ines Dadia) with a land area of 5,500 sq. m. witnessed by Mr. Benito Apura and Mr. Jose Cajegas accepted by the Acting Municipal Mayor Nicasio L. Anacta.

Cabong Barrio school then became Cabong Primary School from 1956 to 1964. In 1964, the land area was widened by 242 sq. m. from the donor Mr. Herminigildo Dadia through the District Supervisor Mr. Vicente Anacta; School Principal Mr. Galo Alvor; and Head Teacher Mr. Miguel Cardona with the efforts of the retired Public School Teacher of the same school Mr. Benito Apura and Members of the Barrio Council Hon. Ruperto Bebita and Hon. Felimon Caspe.

The School Year 1970-1971 was the First Commencement Exercises with Mrs. Potenciana Apura Caspe, Adviser and the primary school became CABONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
